Seaway Chorale
Auditions for singers — men and women 18 and older of any voice part interested in joining the Seaway Chorale — will be held by appointment during evening hours Tuesday.
Call Sharon York at 1-734-783-5202 to schedule an audition. The chorale will present its 32nd annual holiday concert, "'Tis the Season," Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at Flat Rock High School community auditorium.
'Scarecrow Idol'
Contestants are sought for the second annual "Scarecrow Idol" karaoke contest, part of The Trenton Scarecrow Festival.
The competition will be in three age brackets: 10- to 12-year olds, 13- to 17-year-olds and 18 and older.
Auditions will be Sept. 9 and are by appointment only; there is a $5 entry fee. All proceeds raised benefit a local charity or nonprofit organization. Last year's contest raised more than $2,000 for the Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center and also gave away prizes to the winners.
Participants must have a karaoke CD available for the audition.

The final competition will take place during the festival at 6 p.m. Oct. 5.
'We The People'
Creative Characters, in conjunction with Allen Park's Parks and Recreation Department will hold auditions for performers ages 5 to 17 for "We The People, The Musical" from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 12 and 13 at the community center, 15800 White St.
The production is about six committee members planning a show for their town by using the Preamble of the Constitution as a guide and some patriotic tunes to express freedoms in America.
