Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, 2609 10th St., Wyandotte, presents its 35th annual Polish Festival from 4 to 11 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. tomorrow and 1 to 11 p. Sunday.

Highlights include Polish music, hourly 50/50 raffles, family-style dinners, bingo, games of skill, Vegas games, dancing and a raffle with a $20,000 grand prize.

Admission is free. No outside coolers, food or beverages allowed. Free off-street parking on Electric Avenue, courtesy of DTE.

The annual St. Frances Cabrini Festival runs from 5 to 11 p.m. today, 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. at the church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park.

There will be rides and live entertainment, a raffle with a $12,000 grand prize, Vegas games and bingo, a Texas hold'em tournament, horseshoe tournament, a bake sale today and an assortment of ethnic foods.

Admission is free.

Paddle the river in a replica of a voyageur canoe at 10 a.m., noon or 2 p.m. Sunday at the Oakwoods Metropark Nature Center. Cost is $3, and advance registration for the Sunday Canoe Tours is required.

Amazing Monarchs, a chance to learn about butterflies from metamorphosis to migration, takes place at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Nature Center. Fee is $2.

At 1 p.m. Sunday, learn how to make ice cream in an unusual way during Tin Can Ice Cream. Fee is $5.

Bring old pants, gloves and a flat trowel for Archaeology Saturday at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Marshlands Museum and Nature Center at Lake Erie Metropark. Participants will assist in a dig at an old house site.

Bring items to work on, learn piecing techniques or just find out how to get started on Quilting Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the museum.

Cruzin' the Park Swap Meet and Car Event will feature hundreds of classic cars and street rods, plus contests and other fun stuff, today through Sunday at Lower Huron Metropark near Huron Township.

Cars will be on display and the swap meet will be held on all three days. Other events include free popcorn and karaoke at 8 p.m. today, and a charity pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. tomorrow.

Other things slated include the Mike's Hot Rod Garage coloring contest at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow, the Pat Marshall Memorial Cruise at 5 p.m. tomorrow and free popcorn and karaoke again at 8 p.m. tomorrow.

On Sunday, a charity pancake breakfast is set from 8 to 11 a.m., and awards presentations begin at 3 p.m. Raffles will take place throughout the three-day event, which will be held in the parking area south of the swimming pool.

Meadow Brook Music Festival is hosting its Seventh Annual Wine and Food Festival from 1 to 9:30 p.m. tomorrow and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Award-winning wineries from the state of Michigan and across the globe will be on hand showcasing more than 100 varieties of wine including chardonnay, merlots, rieslings, sparkling, dry red, sweet white and many others.

Tickets for adults are $18 in advance, $25 day of the event, and include eight free wine samples and complimentary wine glass; wine and food seminars; exhibits, including glass blowing; live music; great food and more.

Designated driver tickets are $10 and include two free soft drinks. Tickets for children 12 to 17 years of age are $5 and those younger than 12 have free admission.

This summer, take a ride on the wild side at the Henry Ford Museum and find out what truly drives rock stars with the hot new exhibit "Rock Stars' Cars & Guitars" through Sept. 30.

See John Lennon's "psychedelic" Rolls Royce, a sports car owned (and shot) by Elvis Presley; the actual "Little Deuce Coupe" of Beach Boys fame; a "Dukes of Hazard" 1969 Dodge Charger owned by Kid Rock; a 1969 GT 350 Shelby Mustang owned by Bob Seger; and many more rock star vehicles, along with more than 30 guitars owned by some of the most legendary performers to pick up a pick.

"Our Body: The Universe Within," an eye-opening and educational exhibition of actual human bodies and organs, is making its Midwest debut at the New Detroit Science Center, 5020 John R St.

Including approximately 20 bodies and 135 other anatomical displays, the exhibit exposes the inner workings of human anatomy by presenting actual human specimens, reproductions of historic anatomical artwork and much more.

In an artful, compelling and dignified environment, guests will be able to connect with the human artifacts on a personal level that will help them to better understand their own bodies.

The exhibition has been held over through Sept. 3. Tickets are $24.95 for adults, $22.95 for seniors and $19.95 for children. The cost includes Science Center general admission. Children ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Visitors can add the IMAX Dome Theatre film "The Human Body" for an additional $3 for adults and $2 for children and seniors with the purchase of a ticket to "Our Body: The Universe Within." Advance tickets are available at www.detroitsciencecenter.org.

Preservation Wayne again is offering walking tours through five historic districts of Detroit.

The tours take place at 10 a.m. Saturdays. Tours include downtown, the Eastern Market, midtown, auto heritage and the Cultural Center. Tours of the New Center are available by appointment.

Each tour costs $10 and takes two to three hours, looking at the area's past and present.

There also are Tuesday After Work Walking Tours at 5:30 p.m. starting from the Hotel Pontchartrain, 2 Washington Blvd. Each focuses on a different aspect of downtown — skyscrapers, restaurants and bars, sculptures and fountains or the buildings of Albert Kahn and Louis Kemper.

The evening tours also are $10 and take about two hours.

See the birthplace of the Model T with a tour of the historic Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, 461 Piquette, Detroit.

Walk the same floors as Henry Ford, the Dodge brothers, James Couzens and other auto pioneers, where the first 10,000 Tin Lizzies were manufactured before the advent of the assembly line.

A National Historic Landmark, the Ford Piquette Avenue plant is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the first and third Saturdays of every month through October. Admission is $10, with free admission for ages 16 and younger.

World Wrestling Entertainment brings "Smackdown" and "ECW" to Joe Louis Arena at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9.
