Panelists scheduled to take part in this presentation include Lawrence Hogan, senior professor of history at New Jersey's Union County College, a nationally recognized expert on the history of African-Americans in baseball and author of "Shades of Glory: The Negro Leagues and the Story of African-American Baseball;" Ernie Harwell, who, prior to his long tenure as the voice of the Detroit Tigers, started his big league broadcasting career in 1948 with Jackie Robinson and the Brooklyn Dodgers; Della Britton Baeza, president and chief executive officer of the Jackie Robinson Foundation; former Detroit Tigers outfielder Gates Brown; and current Tigers centerfielder Curtis Granderson.
