'Deathtrap'
The Players Guild of Dearborn, 21730 Madison, will have auditions at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for its first production of the first show of the 2007-08 season, Ira Levin's "Deathtrap."
The story is about a once-successful playwright who has had a recent string of flops. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college. Sidney immediately recognizes it as a potential Broadway hit and one that he would kill for.
Sidney's plan, which he devises with his wife's help, is to offer collaboration to the student, an idea which the younger man quickly accepts. Soon after, it is clear that things are not what they seem.

Sidney Bruhl 40s-50s, a playwright who once knew great success but has not had a hit in a long time.
Myra Bruhl 40s-50s, Sidney's wife, very devoted to her husband.
Clifford Anderson 20s-30s, young author who was a student of Sidney's and has written a huge hit.
Helga ten Dorp A psychic, famous for pointing out murderers to the European police.
Porter Milgrim- 40s-50s, the family attorney.
