The Southgate Community Players' "Playhouse Summer Series" kicks off with "Exits and Entrances" at 8 p.m. July 18, 19, 25 and 26 at the Corner Playhouse, 12671 Dix-Toledo, Southgate. Tickets are $12.
The story follows the relationship between a young man on the threshold of his playwright career and an aging actor at the end of his career on the stage.
"Seussical Jr." continues the summer theater season Aug. 8 and 9 at Davidson Middle School, 15800 Trenton Road.
Based on the books of Dr. Seuss, the musical is a mixture of many of his favorite books and characters, including The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant and the Whos.
Show times are 7 p.m. Aug. 8 and 2 and 7 p.m. Aug. 9. Tickets are $8.
The tale of four Catholic girls coming of age in 1960s New York comes to the stage in "Catholic School Girls" at 8 p.m. Sept. 12, 13, 19 and 20 at the Corner Playhouse. Tickets are $12.
Rounding out the season is "Who Am I This Time?" a one-act play about a hardware salesman who only comes alive when he plays a character in local theater productions.
