ShowBiz Kidz/ShowBiz Starz will hold auditions for children ages 4 to 18 for its summer musical, "Li'l Abner," from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Royal Majestic Theater inside Trillium Academy, 15740 Racho Road, Taylor.
An audition workshop also will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Callbacks are set for 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The musical comedy is based on Al Capp's hillbilly comic strip set in Dogpatch, a small town in danger of being turned into a nuclear testing site.
Show dates and times are 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1, 2 and 8 and 2 p.m. Aug. 9.
Tuition is $120 and includes the final cast party. Applications and a rehearsal schedule are available online at sbkonline.com or at showbizstarz.com.
Enrollment has begun for The Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center's 2008 Fine Arts Summer Camp.
Students can enroll in one class or take a day's worth of classes. There is a choice of four classes per 45-minute session. Each session is a flat fee.
A non-refundable $50 deposit is required. Each course costs $65.

Classes are held Saturday mornings for ages 5 to 8 and afternoons for ages 9 to 14. Sessions are six weeks long with a final performance.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, DYPAC will present "The Wizard of Oz" with director Karen Brown Bonner in November.
