ShowBiz Kidz/ShowBiz Starz will hold auditions for children ages 4 to 18 for its summer musical, "Li'l Abner," from 6 to 9 p.m. June 17 at the Royal Majestic Theater inside Trillium Academy, 15740 Racho Road, Taylor.
An audition workshop also will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. June 16. Callbacks are set for 6 to 9 p.m. June 18.
The musical comedy is based on Al Capp's hillbilly comic strip set in Dogpatch, a small town in danger of being turned into a nuclear testing site.
Show dates and times are 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1, 2 and 8 and 2 p.m. Aug. 9.
Tuition is $120 and includes the final cast party. Applications and a rehearsal schedule are available online at sbkonline.com or at showbizstarz.com. June 6 is the deadline to submit applications.
Enrollment has begun for The Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center's 2008 Fine Arts Summer Camp.
Students can enroll in one class or take a day's worth of classes. There is a choice of four classes per 45-minute session. Each session is a flat fee.
A non-refundable $50 deposit is required. Each course costs $65.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, DYPAC will present "The Wizard of Oz" with director Karen Brown Bonner in November.
