Have some laughs while supporting Trenton High School's class of 2008 during "Comedy Night at Portofino" at 9 p.m. today at The Comedy Room at Portofino, 3455 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte.

Tickets are $20 a person with all proceeds going to the class. 50/50 drawings, beverages and food will be part of the fun for ages 18 and older only.

U.S. Steel-Great Lakes Works will host the "Strong as Steel" comedy fund-raiser to benefit Children's Hospital of Michigan's cancer unit at 6 and 9 p.m. tomorrow at The Comedy Room.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and silent auctions will be held before, between and after shows.

Tickets are $20, with half of each ticket price going to the hospital. All proceeds from the silent auctions, which will feature a signed Detroit Red Wings' jersey and hockey stick, playoff tickets and other prizes, go to the hospital.

The second annual Steak Dinner Comedy Show to benefit Stepping Stones Therapeutic Horseback Riding Inc., takes place at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Flat Rock Elks Club, 26917 Telegraph Road.

Stepping Stones is a nonprofit organization in Monroe that provides therapeutic riding for children with emotional, mental and physical disabilities.

Doors open at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and a comedy show at 8:30 p.m. Dinner includes steak, potatoes, salad, dessert and coffee. A cash bar also will be available.

Tickets are $20 a person. Raffle prizes will include $600 travel vouchers for Spirit Airlines and a "Wheelbarrow of Cheer."

All Star Comedy Club, a new venue for laughs in the Downriver area, features comedians every Wednesday through Saturday inside Thunderbowl Lanes, 4200 Allen Road, Allen Park.

Motor City Improv will take the stage at 8 and 10:30 p.m. today and tomorrow.

Show times are 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 8 and 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is $5.
