U.S. Steel-Great Lakes Works will host the "Strong as Steel" comedy fund-raiser to benefit Children's Hospital of Michigan's cancer unit at 6 and 9 p.m. May 10 at The Comedy Room.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and silent auctions will be held before, between and after shows.
Tickets are $20, with half of each ticket price going to the hospital. All proceeds from the silent auction, which will feature a signed Detroit Red Wings' jersey and hockey stick, playoff tickets and other prizes, go to the hospital.

The second annual Steak Dinner Comedy Show to benefit Stepping Stones Therapeutic Horseback Riding Inc., takes place at 7 p.m. May 10 at the Flat Rock Elks Club, 26917 Telegraph Road.
Stepping Stones is a nonprofit organization in Monroe that provides therapeutic riding for children with emotional, mental and physical disabilities.
Doors open at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and a comedy show at 8:30 p.m. Dinner includes steak, potatoes, salad, dessert and coffee. A cash bar also will be available.
Tickets are $20 a person. Raffle prizes will include $600 travel vouchers for Spirit Airlines and a "Wheelbarrow of Cheer."
