Nationally acclaimed comedian and magician Chris Blackmore will be performing a family friendly show at Twin Oaks Christian Church, 22333 King Road, Woodhaven, at 7 p.m. next Friday.

Blackmore has performed in Las Vegas and around the country for community and corporate groups. His unique combination of comedy and magic and reputation for having a clean, professional act that all ages can enjoy has made him a frequently requested performer with corporations ranging from Disney to General Motors to Coca-Cola.

Tickets are $12 in advance, or $100 for a table of 10 in advance. Tickets at the door are $15 per person. For information or reservations, call the church at 1-734-479-1400.

The show celebrates the humor in the social, political and financial turmoil of living in the nation's second-worst economy through the eyes of the recently unemployed, but also some atypical airplane passengers, the cultlike employees of a warehouse store and one mixed-up monkey.

Shows are at 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; 8 and 10 p.m. Fridays; and 7 and 9 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are $15 Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; $20 Fridays and Saturdays.
