Even God Giggles Comedy Theatre presents "HOGwild Comedy," an evening of Christian sketch comedy and improvisation, at 8 p.m. next Friday at Trinity Lutheran Community Building, 465 Oak St., Wyandotte.


The HOGwild Comedy duo of improv comedian Michael Lomas of Trenton (left) and stand-up comedian Matthew Perry of Wyandotte will be featured in an evening of Christian sketch comedy and improvisation at 8 p.m. next Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Community Building in Wyandotte.

The HOGwild Comedy duo is stand-up comic Matt Perry of Wyandotte and improv comic Mike Lomas of Trenton.

Perry, a regular at venues such as Joey's Comedy Club and The Comedy Room at Portofino, is a graduate of The Second City Training Center.

He was a finalist in the Leland Klassen International Comedy Tournament and can be heard on the "Family Comedy Minute" on Christian radio stations.

Lomas, founder of Motor City Improv, was an instructor at The Second City of Detroit and has performed at comedy venues such as Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle and The Second City.

"Laughs for a Miracle World Tour '08" will stop at The Comedy Room at Portofino, 3455 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte, at 9 p.m. May 2. Proceeds from the show benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

The show will feature Las Vegas comic Mike Diesel. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, and are available at all local Rite Aid Pharmacies. Call 1-734-624-5561 for more details.

All Star Comedy Club, a new venue for laughs in the Downriver area, features comedians every Wednesday through Saturday inside Thunderbowl Lanes, 4200 Allen Road, Allen Park.

Show times are 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 8 and 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Admission is free throughout April.

Comedian Joel H. Lindley will be in the spotlight at 9 p.m. today and tomorrow with featured act Dave Bell.

RSVIP Agency Inc. announces its first comedy charity event featuring Mike Bonner from BET's "Comic View" at 7:30 p.m. May 14 at Joey's Comedy Club, 36071 Plymouth Road, Livonia.

The event begins with raffles and door prizes, followed by the show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Proceeds from the show go to RSVIP Agency Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing to women.

Comedian Katt Williams brings his "It's Pimpin' Pimpin' Tour" to the Fox Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through April 26.

Having starred in movies such as "First Sunday" with Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan, the flamboyant comic returns to his popular stand-up roots with this latest tour.
