Melanie McCoy, general manager for Wyandotte Municipal Services, will lead a presentation titled "Bringing Solar Energy to Light in Wyandotte" at 6:30 p.m. April 15 at the Copeland Center, 2306 Fourth St., Wyandotte.
Participants will learn about solar energy and pick up tips about public speaking at the free event, which is sponsored by the Downriver Ambassadors Toastmasters Club and the Wyandotte Jaycees.

Trenton's "On Stage" speaker series at the Trenton Village Theatre, 2447 W. Jefferson, features entertaining and informative speakers of interest.
The series wraps up April 15 with Ray Hunter Jr., who will share "What's New This Year" in the gardening world just in time for spring planting.
Tickets are $5 per presentation in advance and can be purchased at the Trenton Parks and Recreation Department at the Kennedy Recreation Center. Tickets are $6 at the door.
After the presentations, ticket stubs are good for 10 percent to 20 percent off lunch at several of Trenton's participating restaurants.
