HA, THAT'S A LAUGH

Laugh it up at Downriver's own comedy club, The Comedy Room, at Portofino, 3455 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte.

Tickets are $6 Thursdays (open mic, improv night), $10 Fridays and $12 Saturdays, with dinner/show packages at $23.95 Thursdays and $27.95 Fridays and Saturdays.

Call 1-734-624-5561.

Take the winter chill off by cozying up to the Improv Inferno, at Live at PJ's, 102 S. First St., Ann Arbor.

At 8 p.m. Thursdays, "The Catfight" pits two of the area's hottest improv groups head-to-head. It's what comedy was meant to be, a blood sport. Tickets are $5.

At 8 p.m. Fridays, it's "Citizen Improv," where comedians create scenes based on stories from the audience. Tickets are $10.

"The Damnation Game" at 8 p.m. Saturdays is part game show, part improv, where audience members can win prizes. Tickets are $10

Sundays are a triple threat, starting with "Get Up! Stand Up!" at 8 p.m., featuring a mix of experienced pros and up-and-coming rookie comedians. Tickets are $5.

At 9:30 p.m., "Rap it Up!" as six rhythmically challenged comedians hip-hop their way into your hearts. Tickets are $5.

Hit "The Sweet Spot" with Eye Candy at 10 p.m. Sundays, a heaping helping of character improv. Tickets are $5.

For tickets or more information, call 1-734-214-7080 or visit www.improvinferno.com.

The Pimp Chronicles Tour II, featuring Katt Williams, with guests Melanie Comarcho, Luenell and Red Grant, makes a stop at the Fox Theatre at 7:30 and 11 p.m. April 7.

Tickets are $48.50, $63.50 and $68.50 and go on sale at 2 p.m. today at the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices and at all Ticketmaster locations. Charge tickets by phone at 1-248-433-1515 or online at OlympiaEntertainment.com. For information, call 1-313- 471-6611.

The Second City, 42705 Grand River Ave., Novi, presents its all new revue, "Michigan Impossible: All Laid Off & No Place to Go."

The show celebrates the humor in the social, political and financial turmoil of living in the nation's second-worst economy through the eyes of the recently unemployed, but also some atypical airplane passengers, the cult-like employees of a warehouse store and one mixed-up monkey.

Shows are at 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; 8 and 10 p.m. Fridays; and 7 and 9 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are $15 Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; $20 Fridays and Saturdays.

Call 1-248-348-4448 or visit www.secondcity.com.
