The Friends of the Detroit River are holding its annual "Keep the Boat Afloat" Riverkeeper Fund-raiser March 24 at the Wyandotte Boat Club, 1 Pine St., Wyandotte.
Friends is a grassroots organization dedicated to protecting and defending the Detroit River. Proceeds from the event will help fund the Riverkeeper program for the upcoming season and keep the Riverkeeper patrol boat out on the river.
Included with the dinner will be a cash bar, music, raffle and silent auction. Advance tickets are $35 per couple, $20 for individuals and $10 for children under 12.

Lake Erie Metropark will host its annual Easter Egg Scramble at 10 a.m. April 7 at the park's Wave Pool Complex.
The Easter Muskrat will spread joy and hundreds of candy-filled Easter eggs to guests. There also will be wagon rides, an egg hunt, petting zoo, a craft station and snacks.

Thomas the Tank Engine will depart every 30 minutes, rain or shine, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.

Henry Ford Museum is presenting "The Eames Lounge Chair: An Icon of Modern Design," through April 29.
This traveling exhibit, organized by the Grand Rapids Art Museum and Herman Miller Inc., features more than 30 objects from the creative design partnership of Charles and Ray Eames, the duo who revolutionized the world of furniture design in form and function.

"Our Body: The Universe Within," an eye-opening and educational exhibition of actual human bodies and organs, is making its Midwest debut at The New Detroit Science Center, 5020 John R St.
Including approximately 20 bodies and 135 other anatomical displays, the exhibit exposes the inner workings of human anatomy by presenting actual human specimens, reproductions of historic anatomical artwork and much more. By presenting an artful, compelling and dignified environment, guests will be able to connect with the human artifacts on a personal level that will help them to better understand their own bodies.
