BLACK SNAKE MOAN —Found lying on the side of the road, beaten and nearly dead, is 22-year-old Rae (Christina Ricci). Her rescuer is Lazarus (Samuel L. Jackson), an ex-blues guitarist who has grown used to life's trouble and sorrow. Lazarus holds Rae prisoner, and sets out to "cure" her of her wicked ways until Rae's boyfriend, Ronnie (Justin Timberlake), comes looking for her. Rated R (Paramount Vantage). MJR, AMC

WILD HOGS — A group of middle-aged friends decide to rev up their routine suburban lives with a freewheeling motorcycle trip; however, the foursome encounter far more than they bargained for. The trip challenges their wits and luck, especially during a chance run-in with a real-life biker gang that isn't amused with their novice approach. ZODIAC — As a serial killer terrifies the San Francisco Bay Area and taunts police with his ciphers and letters, investigators in four jurisdictions search for the murderer. AMAZING GRACE — Based on the true story of William Wilberforce (Ioan Gruffudd), a leader of the British abolition movement, the film chronicles his epic struggle to pass a law to end the slave trade in the late 18th century. Several friends, including Wilberforce's minister, John Newton (Albert Finney), a reformed slave ship captain who penned the hymn "Amazing Grace," urge him to see the cause through. THE ASTRONAUT FARMER — After a family situation forces him to drop out of NASA's astronaut training program, Charles Farmer (Billy Bob Thornton) spends the next decade and every cent he has building his own rocket, which he plans to launch into space. BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA — An 11-year-old boy (Josh Hutcherson) has his life changed forever when he befriends the class outsider, a girl (AnnaSophia Robb). DADDY'S LITTLE GIRLS — A single father, Monty (Idris Elba), is a mechanic who struggles to make ends meet while raising his three daughters. DEEP SEA 3D — Viewers take a tour of the depths of nine different seas to see how the creatures there co-exist in a delicate balance of nature. IMAX

GHOST RIDER — Motorcycle stunt rider Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) made a deal with the devil to protect the ones he loved most — his father and his childhood sweetheart, Roxanne (Eva Mendes). By day, he is a diehard stunt rider, and at night, in the presence of evil, he becomes the Ghost Rider, a bounty hunter of rogue demons. Rated PG-13 (Columbia Pictures). MJR, AMC

HANNIBAL RISING — Based on the novel by Thomas Harris, the thriller follows serial killer Hannibal Lecter from his childhood through a period in Paris in his teens to his arrival in the United States. Rated R (MGM Studios). MJR

HAPPILY N'EVER AFTER — An alliance of evildoers led by Frieda (Sigourney Weaver) wants to take over Fairy Tale Land. But when Ella (Sarah Michelle Gellar) realizes her stepmother is out to ruin her storybook existence, she takes a dramatic turn and blossoms into the leader of the resistance effort. HURRICANE ON THE BAYOU — Viewers go on a breathtaking tour of the Louisiana bayou and the city of New Orleans, a place overflowing with life, music and natural beauty. Tragically, the wetlands are eroding into the sea at the speed of one acre every 30 minutes, leaving the entire region more vulnerable to major hurricanes. IMAX

THE MESSENGERS — Soon after the Solomon family arrives at their new home in North Dakota, 16-year-old Jess and her 3-year-old brother begin seeing ominous apparitions that no one else can see, and are repeatedly attacked by something from the other side. Nascar 3D: THE IMAX EXPERIENCE — Filmmakers use the magic of IMAX 3D technology to put audiences in a 200-mph racecar and alongside the pit crew. Narrated by Kiefer Sutherland. IMAX

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM — When Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), a good-hearted dreamer, accepts a job as a graveyard-shift security guard at a museum of natural history, extraordinary things begin to occur — Mayans, Roman gladiators and cowboys emerge from their dioramas to wage epic battles. NORBIT — Eddie Murphy plays multiple characters in this comedy about Norbit, a man who has never had it easy. THE NUMBER 23 — A mysterious novel, "The Number 23," given to Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) by his wife, Agatha (Virginia Madsen), as a birthday gift, depicts a chilling murder mystery that seems to mirror Walter's life in dark and uncontrollable ways. The life of the book's main character, a brooding detective, is filled with moments that echo Walter's own history. Walter becomes obsessed with the hidden power of No. 23, and if he can unlock the power behind it, he may be able to change his future. Rated R (New Line Cinema). MJR, AMC

RENO 911: MIAMI — Based on the hit Comedy Central television series, the deputies of the Reno Sheriff's Department attend a law enforcement convention in Miami Beach, where the motley crew is charged with protecting the city after bio-terrorists attack the convention. ROCKY BALBOA — After a virtual boxing match declares Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) the victor over current champion Mason Dixon (Antonio Tarver), the legendary fighter's passion and spirit are reignited. STOMP THE YARD — When disc jockey (Columbus Short), a troubled youth from Los Angeles, moves to Atlanta to attend college, he discovers "stepping," a traditional African-American fraternity style of dance that has teams demonstrating complex moves and creating rhythmic sounds by using their bodies.
