John Hartig, manager of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, will speak at "Coming Home! Celebrating the Return of the Detroit River's Charismatic Mega Fauna" Wednesday at the Trenton Village Theatre, 2427 W. Jefferson.
Hartig will discuss the ecological recovery happening within the refuge and Detroit River ecosystem as documented in the "State of the Strait" report.
A plan to build an outdoor Environmental Educational Shelter in the refuge and how people can contribute to the effort also will be part of the discussion.

Trenton's "On Stage" speaker series at the Trenton Village Theatre, 2447 W. Jefferson, features entertaining and informative speakers of interest.
The series wraps up April 15 with Ray Hunter Jr., who will share "What's New This Year" in the gardening world just in time for spring planting.
Tickets are $5 per presentation in advance and can be purchased at the Trenton Parks and Recreation Department at the Kennedy Recreation Center. Tickets are $6 at the door.
After the presentations, ticket stubs are good for 10 percent to 20 percent off lunch at several of Trenton's participating restaurants.
