Film star Morris Chestnut will make his stage debut in David E. Talbert's "Love in the Nick of Tyme" Tuesday through Feb. 11 at The Music Hall, 350 Madison Ave., Detroit.
It's a classic tale of relationships, challenges and dreams deferred. The story centers on smart and sexy salon owner, Tyme Prentice, who is doing her best to raise her 17-year-old son, while attempting to maintain a relationship with his father, Marcelles, who has never made Tyme a priority, but goes out of his way to make sure no one else does, either.

The show celebrates the work of African-American painter Jacob Lawrence, with a visual feast of movement.
