HOW SHE MOVE — Raya Green 17, attends a prestigious private school outside her tough, crime-ridden neighborhood, but a tragedy forces her to return to the old community. MEET THE SPARTANS — In this spoof of the movie "300," heroic Leonidas, armed with nothing but leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag group of 13 Spartans to defend their homeland against the invading Persians (whose ranks include Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton). RAMBO — John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) has retreated to Thailand to live a solitary, simple life in the mountains and jungles. THERE WILL BE BLOOD — Set on the incendiary frontier of California's turn-of-the-century petroleum boom, the story chronicles the life and times of Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis), who transforms himself from a down-and-out silver miner raising a son on his own into a self-made oil tycoon. UNTRACEABLE — FBI Special Agent Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) tracks down a tech-savvy Internet predator who displays his graphic murders on his own Web site. Rated R (Screen Gems). MJR, AMC

AUGUST RUSH — A young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) have a chance encounter one night in New York, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant. BEOWULF — In the time of legendary heroes, the mighty warrior Beowulf (Ray Winstone) battles the demon Grendel and incurs the wrath of the beast's ruthlessly seductive mother (Angelina Jolie). CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR — Based on George Crile's book about how Charlie Wilson (Tom Hanks), a swinging bachelor congressman from Texas, along with his sometime lover, wealthy Joanne Herring (Julia Roberts), and a CIA agent (Philip Seymour Hoffman) contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union in Afghanistan and the end of the Cold War. Rated R (Universal Pictures). MJR

CLOVERFIELD — Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives. ENCHANTED — A beautiful princess (Amy Adams) is banished by an evil queen (Susan Sarandon) from her magical animated land and finds herself in the streets of modern-day Manhattan. She falls in love with a divorce lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) who has come to her aid, even though she is promised to a perfect fairy tale prince (James Marsden) back home. Rated PG (Walt Disney Pictures). MJR

FIRST SUNDAY — Durell (Ice Cube) and LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan), best friends and bumbling petty criminals, have one week to pay a debt or else Durell will lose his son. They come up with a scheme to rob their neighborhood church, but end up spending the night in the presence of the Lord. Rated PG-13 (Screen Gems). MJR, AMC

THE GAME PLAN —Superstar quarterback Joe Kingman (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) discovers the 7-year-old daughter (Madison Pettis) he never knew he had. Also stars Kyra Sedgwick. Rated PG (Walt Disney Pictures). AP

THE GOLDEN COMPASS — Based on Philip Pullman's novel, the fantasy adventure is set in an alternative world where Lyra (Dakota Blue Richards), a 12-year-old girl who starts out trying to rescue a kidnapped friend, winds up on an epic quest to save not only her world, but ours, as well. Stars Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Sam Elliott and Ian McShane. Rated PG-13 (New Line Cinema). AP

HITMAN — Known only as Agent 47 (Tim Olyphant), he's a professional assassin for hire, and becomes the hunted when he gets caught up in a political takeover. Also stars Dougray Scott and Robert Knepper. Rated R (Twentieth Century Fox). AP

I AM LEGEND — For three years, Robert Neville (Will Smith), the last human survivor of an attack of a mysterious virus in New York City and maybe the world, has been desperate to find any other survivors. Also stars Salli Richardson, Alice Braga and Charlie Tahan. Rated PG-13 (Warner Bros.). MJR, AMC

JUNO — Juno (Ellen Page) is a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera). With the help of her best friend, Juno finds her unborn child a "perfect" set of parents, Mark and Vanessa, (Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman) longing to adopt. Also stars J.K. MAD MONEY — Three ordinary women (Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes) who form an unlikely friendship decide to rob one of the most secure banks in the world. Rated PG-13 (Overture). MJR, AMC

MR. MAGORIUM'S WONDER EMPORIUM — Mr. Magorium's (Dustin Hoffman) Wonder Emporium is a magic toy store, and everything in it comes to life, including the store itself. NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS — When a missing page from the diary of John Wilkes Booth surfaces, treasure hunter Ben Gates' (Nicolas Cage) great-great grandfather is implicated as a key conspirator in Abraham Lincoln's death. Also stars Diane Kruger, Jon Voight, Ed Harris and Helen Mirren. Rated PG (Walt Disney Pictures). MJR

ONE MISSED CALL — Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) witnesses the gruesome deaths of two friends just days apart. She knows that both of them had received cell phone messages of their own horrifying last moments before they died. Rated PG-13 (Warner Bros.). MJR

THE PIRATES WHO DON'T DO ANYTHING: A VEGGIE TALES MOVIE — Three animated veggie pals reluctantly set sail for adventure and discover that real heroes don't have to be tall, strong, handsome or even human, while learning what it really means to be a hero. Rated G (Universal Pictures). MJR

SEA MONSTERS 3D: A PREHISTORIC ADVENTURE — Photo-realistic computer-generated animation transports audiences back to the Late Cretaceous period, when a great inland sea divided North America in two. IMAX

SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET — When he returns from prison to reopen his barbershop, Sweeney Todd (Johnny Depp) becomes known for shaving the faces of gentlemen who never are heard of again.
