Take an in-depth look at the life of a wild turkey, then follow up with a craft. There is a $4 fee per person.

Take a "Winter Survival Workshop" at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Learn some tricks and techniques to use if you ever find yourself up against the elements. There is a $5 fee per person.

Start the day with the Crack O' Dawn Coffee Club at 8 a.m. tomorrow at the Lake Erie Metropark Marshlands Museum and Nature Center. Fuel up on coffee and doughnuts then have a stroll in the park. There is a $2 fee per person.

At 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, the Muskrat Club, for children in kindergarten through third grade, will have a program on "Winter Weed Wonders." Learn about some of nature's unappreciated plant life and their seedpods. There is a $2 fee per person.

"Make it at the Marsh" at 2 p.m. Sunday. This time around, the project will be snow snakes, in anticipation of Erie Ice Daze. There is a $5 fee per person.

The Downriver Council for the Arts presents "January Jazz & All That Wine" from 6 - 8 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Holiday Inn Southgate, 17201 North Line Road.

The night will be a bistro-style celebration with music by Hubbell Street Jazz, beer and wine tastings, hors d'oeuvres a silent auction and a live auction featuring a trip for two to Napa Valley.

Tickets are $50 per person. Sponsor tickets are $100 per person and include a bottle of fine wine and $10 in raffle tickets. All proceeds will support DCA programs and services.

Our Body: The Universe Within, an eye-opening and educational exhibition of actual human bodies and organs, will make its Midwest debut at The New Detroit Science Center tomorrow.

Including approximately 20 bodies and 135 other anatomical displays, Our Body: The Universe Within exposes the inner workings of human anatomy by presenting actual human specimens, reproductions of historic anatomical artwork and much more. By presenting an artful, compelling and dignified environment, guests will be able to connect with the human artifacts on a personal level that will help them to better understand their own bodies.

Tickets are $24.95 for adults, $22.95 for seniors and $19.95 for children, which includes Science Center general admission. Children ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors may add the IMAX Dome Theatre film "The Human Body" for an additional $3 for adults and $2 for children and seniors with the purchase of a ticket to Our Body: The Universe Within. The Monster Ann Arbor Record and CD Show is back with another music collectibles extravaganza, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 21 at Weber's Inn, 3050 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor.

Buy, sell and trade all genres of music. Patrons will be allowed to bring a small number of records to trade or sell.

The Southern Great Lakes Symphony's Overture Society will host "Beat the Blahs," an evening of dinner and entertainment, starting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Italian American Club Hall, 646 Biddle, Wyandotte.

The Royal Garden Trio will play traditional jazz, show tunes and vintage swing music for your listening and dancing pleasure.

Learn some of the secrets to drawing people at The Great Saturday Draw In at the Downriver Council for the Arts gallery, 20904 North Line Road, Taylor.

Instructor Mark Jackson will facilitate a life drawing class from 9 a.m. - noon, using a live model. You must be at least 18 to attend.

Eugene Clark will show traditional techniques for drawing the human head from 12:30 - 2 p.m. This class is for all ages.

Say, duffers, don't let a little thing like winter keep you off the links. The regulation golf courses at Lake Erie Metropark and Willow Metropark are open year-round, course conditions permitting.

Rates are $11 regular, $9 for seniors through March 30 with no tee-time reservations required. Golf carts are available for rent, depending on course conditions, and handcarts also are available for rent.
