TALK OF THE TOWN
Detroit Audubon's monthly Armchair Expeditions has a pair of presentations coming up at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1123 Second St., Wyandotte.
At 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, filmmaker Christi Vedejs will present her award-winning "An Osprey Homecoming," a tribute to the love and determination of people committed to restoring the osprey to southern Michigan.
At 7 p.m. Feb. 8, Detroit Audubon presents "Peregrine Falcons: Southeast Michigan Soap Opera" with speaker Kariann Anderson, Michigan Department of Natural Resources peregrine falcon coordinator. Anderson has kept track of the soap opera of the falcons' mating histories, and it's a sordid story.
The programs are free, but donations are strongly encouraged to help defray the presentation costs.
