CASTING CALLS



Seaway Chorale

The Seaway Chorale will hold auditions for prospective new members Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church, 2530 Charlton, Trenton.

The chorale is looking for singers over 18 years of age. Those with experience as soloists or as members or church choirs or other singing groups are urged to audition. There are openings for sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. The Seaway Chorale soon will be preparing for its "Spring Fever" concert on May 11 and12.

Auditions will be in the evening, by appointment. Call Sharon York at 1-734-783-5202 for an audition appointment.

'Ann of Green Gables'

Wyandotte Community Theatre's Stage Right Players will hold auditions from 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for a dramatic production of "Ann of Green Gables."

The auditions will be at Wyandotte City Hall, 3131 Biddle Ave. Those auditioning are asked not to arrive early.

More than 30 roles are available for performers ages 7 to 25. Only those cast will be charged a participation fee.

Tentative show dates are March 9, 10, 15 and 16. Rehearsals will begin next Friday or Jan. 19.

Creative Characters

Creative Characters, a new youth theater organization, will have auditions for kindergartners through eighth-graders for its first show, "How to Eat Like A Child And Other Lessons In Not Being A Grown-up." from 6 - 9 p.m. next Friday at Allen Park Presbyterian Church, 7101 Park, Allen Park.

The show is a comical musical where children teach grown-ups lessons in how to be a kid with musical numbers such as "How to Torture Your Sister," "The Brag Rag," and "We Refuse to Fall Asleep." Other lessons include, How to Ride in a Car, How to Laugh Hysterically, and How to Behave at School.

There will be a mandatory audition workshop at the church from 6 - 9 p.m. Wednesday. All who audition will be cast in the show. There is a $70 fee, half due at the audition. The fee includes a script and personalized show shirt. All those who audition will be a part of the cast. Most rehearsals will be from 3 - 6 p.m. Sundays. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. April 20 and 21 and 3 p.m. April 22.
