The American Association of University Women will host a talk with John King, owner of King Books in Detroit, from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Allen Park Public Library, 8100 Allen Road.
King's business includes books, autographs, photos and papers of everyone from auto barons to authors and athletes to movie stars.
His recent discoveries include original photographs of Mark Twain and a pamphlet from the 1950s signed by John F. Kennedy.
King will evaluate books and speak about what makes an old book valuable.

Trenton's "On Stage" speaker series at the Trenton Village Theatre, 2447 W. Jefferson, features entertaining and informative local speakers of interest.
On Feb. 12, Trenton resident Bill Jasmin will share his travel adventures to Nicaragua.
The series wraps up April 15 with Ray Hunter Jr., who will share "What's New This Year" in the gardening world just in time for spring planting.
Tickets are $5 per presentation in advance and can be purchased at the Trenton Parks and Recreation Department at the Kennedy Recreation Center. Tickets are $6 at the door.
After the presentations, ticket stubs are good for 10 percent to 20 percent off lunch at several of Trenton's participating restaurants.
